Perry Cheung is a senior associate with SR Law having joined the firm in 2021.
In his legal practice, Perry works with a diverse array of individuals and businesses primarily on matters relating to real estate law and corporate/commercial law.
On the real estate side, Perry regularly assists clients with purchases and sales of residential, commercial and development properties, refinancing, assignment transactions, co-ownership and joint venture arrangements, general advice for builder and developers, commercial leasing and secured lending for institutional and private lenders.
On the corporate/commercial side, Perry regularly assists clients with new incorporations, corporate structuring for raising capital and tax planning, corporate governance matters, mergers and acquisitions, land holdings share transactions, commercial financing, succession planning and general corporate/commercial advice.
In working with his clients, Perry’s pragmatic approach to legal practice revolves around building strong relationships, effective communication and client education/empowerment.
Perry earned his LLB in 2008 from the University of Manitoba, which he attended after only two years of prior undergraduate study. He was admitted to the Alberta bar in 2009 and the Ontario bar in 2010.
Outside of the workplace, Perry enjoys spending time with his family, giving back to the community and pursuing athletic challenges. Perry is a former multiple time Ontario Muay Thai kickboxing champion and now competes in triathlons.
