Marko’s practice mainly focuses on secured lending, commercial acquisitions and dispositions, and commercial leasing work. He regularly acts for private and institutional lenders, as well as borrowers, with respect to loans of varying size and complexity being used for refinancing, equity take-out, acquisitions and construction purposes.
Marko also has experience negotiating leases and related agreements on behalf of landlords and tenants, including franchisees, for a broad range of properties, including street-side retail, regional shopping malls, warehousing and distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and office towers.
Prior to joining the firm in 2020, Marko articled and worked at a regional law firm in Mississauga. He earned his BBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 2015, his JD from Queen’s University in 2018 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019. Marko was also a varsity volleyball athlete during his undergraduate and legal studies.
